PROGRAM TIMELINE
Please take time to figure out your targeted completion date. You have 240 hours or 80 lab days to complete your training. As per the syllabus you must be making satisfactory progress or risk being dropped from the program.
- When you have completed the training and are ready for the industry exam, do not spend more than two weeks reviewing practice questions. Students who spend more than two weeks studying generally are wasting their time and over studying as well as suffer from test anxiety.
- You do ot need to remain enrolled in order to study the material and practice questions.
- You must purchase any exam vouchers prior to completing and leaving.
STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR PROGRAM
- Review information about the exam at the CompTIA A+ homepage here. Make sure you know how many questions are on the exams and how long you have for them. Your instructor will help you register and schedule the exam after your training when you are ready.
- Ask your instructor to create a Microsoft Software (Dreamspark) account for you. This allows you to download and install select Microsoft operating systems and software. You will need blank CD/DVD if you want to have physical discs to use.
- Review the outlines as needed. PC Technician A+ Essentials Course Outline and PC Technician Practical Applications Course Outline
- Complete the Free VMWare Workstation training.
- Complete the A+ Essentials Training for the CompTIA JK0-701 exam.
- When you are ready for your first exam you need to read the information found on the ORDER page.
For the second half of the PC Technician Training just repeat these steps. The exam for the second part is JK0-702.
